AQA 63336 April Winner

We'd only just published that AQA 63336 had passed its third birthday, and were seeing thousands of questions about betting and the National Lottery, when Karen wrote in to tell us that she'd won because of us.

"I have been trying to win the lottery for a while now and have had absolutely no luck," writes Karen, from Carlisle. "I decided to be a bit tactical and decided to ask AQA what the 6 most commonly drawn lottery balls are. AQA told me that they were: 11, 17, 18, 21, 42 and 43.

You also told me that the 6 balls most overdue for a win were: 2, 14, 20, 27, 36 and 41. You also wished me luck.

I missed the deadline for Wednesday 18th's draw so put 2 lines on for Saturday 21st: one with the most popular and one with the overdue balls - 14, 20 and 41.

I had a good feeling about getting a win and sure enough I did - 3 numbers from the overdue balls.

Now it may only be £10 but it was £10 I wasn't expecting. With my winnings I bought a new umbrella (£4), and treated my boyfriend Vince and myself to a banoffee pie (£3) and a nice bottle of wine that was on offer (£3). It was a nice treat as I have to be careful with money as I am currently working as a temp secretary and you never know when you're going to be told that you're not needed."

Karen with the spoils from her winnings

Well done Karen, thanks for the link on your blog, and £100 is in the post to add to your winnings.

Runner up Sonny from Cricklewood, London, gets a book for telling us about his pub quiz win and being smarter than the pub quiz-master:

"AQA has helped me on a number of occasions with bets I have had with friends, and telling me where to go for a good night out, but the most memorable was at a work pub quiz about a month ago.

golf balls

A question came up about how many holes are in a UK golf ball. We thought we knew so we text AQA to check for sure and found out that UK and USA golf balls have different numbers of holes.

We put this in our answer and the bonus point for proving the quiz-master wrong made us in the round! We didnt get a prize as it was just for fun, but we won all the same!"
